Takeuchi is bringing its TCR50-2 crawlers underlying to the North American market. The light-weight system is transport 8, 157 lbs of cargo across challenging terrain.
Takeuchi product director Lee Padgett reports that the demand for crawler carriers is growing in the region’s construction, miners, and infrastructure applications. Previously only available in various parts of the world. These lean machines may carry heavy loads over unsteady or rough terrain, frequently in confined spaces, as a result of industrialization here in North America. The TCR50-2 can do all that and more”, he says.
A 118-horsepower gasoline engine, which produces more torque while maintaining a peaceful drive, powers the 14-pound machine. Takeuchi claims that in a single loop, providers can take up to 2.7 square yards of fabric while simultaneously rotating and dumping it 65 levels. The plop bed rotates 180 degrees, reducing the need to constantly readjust the machine and, thus, preventing early track wear.
The redesigned driver’s place features a 5.7-inch color screen with a regular 180-degree back cameras, mechanical controller controls, an adjustable suspension seat, a potent air conditioner, a radio with USB functionality, and a large cup holder. Takeuchi claims that the base throttle makes it easier to adjust the engine speed while the mechanical pilot controls provide easy operation for both travel and plop body functions.
Steps and handlebars provide secure access to the service areas at the top of the system, while wide-opening repair covers facilitate easy accessibility to the TCR50-2’s engine and daily inspection points.
Additional features include LED job lights, a shaded sun helmet, a rear windshield helmet, and screen holes. Forward and slow vacation may be accompanied by a custom travel alarm, or only when the unit is turned on.
Operators are informed about system health and situation, run period, and machine location using the industry standard Takeuchi Fleet Management telematics system. It furthermore provides rural testing, scheduled maintenance memories, and personalized call options. Using the program, operators may geofence their devices for added security.
