Texan elected ATHS’s leader

David Schnautz of LaPorte, Texas was recently chosen as the American Truck Historical Society’s leader for a two-year name.

According to a speech from ATHS, Schnautz’s love for shipping began at a younger age, influenced by his mother’s deep roots in the industry. His quest in the freight world started in 1986 when he became an owner/operator. His first vehicle was a 1980 R type Mack, launching a successful career that may later lead to co-owning a business. In 1989, Schnautz and his nephew Danny joined Clark Freight Lines Inc. in Pasadena, Texas. In 2021, they purchased the business from the aging user. The business currently operates a fleet of over 155 cars and many vans. David Schnautz serves as Clark Freight Lines Inc.’s Vice President.

Schnautz became a member of the ATHS in 1991. He served as section senator. and Texas/Oklahoma local vice chairman, and finally to a place on the administrative board. He has been a member of the executive committee for more than four times.

” It ( ATHS) is dear to me because of the history of the industry. My father, grandfather, and three brothers were all involved in the industry and drove cars. When I was only a girl, I was first introduced to a loud truck. My roots run deeply in shipping and vehicles”, he said.

As ATHS President, David claims that his main objectives are delivering the best service possible to ATHS people and reducing prejudice in society. He thinks that running a business can be done for the love of the society and aims to draw in a wider audience’s interest.
