ONTARIO, CA — IAPMO® is seeking applicants to serve as technical experts on the Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard ( WE•Stand ) task groups.
The WE•Stand Technical Committee is looking for outsiders to work for the following job parties:
- This task group’s goal is to review and update current requirements for fixtures and fixture fittings that control water consumption, as well as to identify and develop requirements for further water-conserving fixtures.
- Water Treatment Devices and Systems: The scope of this task group is to identify and develop requirements for additional Point-of-Entry ( POE ) and Point-of-Use ( POU) water treatment devices and systems, including appropriate listings.
- Gray Water Systems: The reach of this work group is to review and update existing requirements appropriate to the building, alteration, and repair of grey water systems.
- Log Reduction Targets ( LRTs ): The scope of this task group is to review and update existing log reduction targets ( LRTs ) for assessing water quality and the effectiveness of treatment processes in onsite systems for blackwater, graywater, and stormwater.
- Water usage in data centers: This work group’s goal is to establish standards for monitoring water usage and promoting effective water use in data centers.
Members of the work group will take part in a conference call or online meeting to share their opinions on the WE•Stand Technical Committee’s draft recommendations. Candidates are not required to become members of the WE•Stand Technical Committee.

The WE•Stand was developed and then republished at the conclusion of each three-year script cycle to deliver progressive established requirements to optimize built-environment practices while upholding common safety, welfare, and health.
