The world’s second AI meeting set for the built setting
Vesa described his journey into AI, highlighting both his executive background and his company’s early adoption of statistical style. He emphasized the role of AI in strategic and business development, and how the Scandinavian Association of Civil Engineers is promoting AI at AEC events.
We discussed the evolution of the AI in AEC meeting, which started in 2018 and has grown substantially, also adapting to a variant style due to the pandemic. Vesa noted the increasing attention and involvement, with the latest occurrence attracting visitors from 39 places.
Key elements for the 2025 event include real answers and activities, focusing on conceptual AI and its practical programs. Vesa emphasized the value of social considerations and the value of AI in providing the building industry with valuable insights.
We also touched on the conference’s show and demo opportunities, which give businesses a chance to promote their improvements. Social remains important, and efforts are being made to increase online marketing options.
About the host
Vesa Järvinen serves as the head of the AEC Conferences Programme Committee’s monthly AI. He has extensive experience in managing style, specialized services, and R&, D organizations with P&, L duty in civil and architectural architecture, as well as steel construction and manufacturing businesses. He now serves as Executive Vice President for the consulting engineering firm AINS Group.
Envisioning the prospect
Vesa addressed the current market position, noting that while some companies have yet to see significant business benefits from AI, there are already practical applications in style optimization, safety risk management, and project management. He emphasized the value of effective AI embracing on common understanding and tactical partnerships.
Vesa envisions AI as a professional improvement of human knowledge, especially in tasks requiring validation and judgment. He also sees a growing role for robotics in construction, driven by labor shortages in many countries.
Vesa advised young professionals and students to research technology in depth while still having a thorough understanding of its applications and value. He emphasized the need for social and emotional intelligence in addition to technological aptitude.
